The Role

  • Deliver engaging online instruction and in-person lab demonstrations to students in the Business Administrative Assistant and Medical Office Assistant programs.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and competency assessments.
  • Foster a positive and interactive online learning environment.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to support student success and professionalism.
  • Offer timely, constructive feedback and address student questions effectively.
  • Ensure students meet course objectives and develop essential skills.
  • Adapt learning plans based on student progress and needs.
  • Motivate students to actively participate in coursework and discussions.
  • Contribute to program improvement by providing feedback and collaborating with faculty.
  • Utilize technology and online platforms to enhance student engagement.
  • Provide students with educational support and effective study strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Medical Office Assistant, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in business administration, medical office administration, or a clinical setting.
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred (online teaching experience is a strong asset).
  • Experience using Moodle, Teams, or other online learning platforms is an asset.
  • Familiarity with HealthQuest or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet students’ needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented online environment.
