Position Summary

The Medical Office Assistant / Front Desk role at WELL Health Clinic is a dynamic position responsible for ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. Tasks include preparing doctor rooms and assisting with administrative and clinical duties to contribute to the clinic’s success.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Administrative duties — answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful manner; schedule appointments; manage referrals; handle result management and billing.
  • Lab duties — collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic on-site tests, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient care duties — coordinate patient flow through the clinic: check-in, prep, escort to exam rooms, prepare exam or treatment rooms, answer questions, provide post-appointment service and monitor the waiting area.
  • General duties — maintain patient information confidentiality and security; perform other related clinical or administrative tasks as required by clinic management.

  • Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed (including evenings and weekends)
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA program certification is an asset
  • Experience with EMR system OSCAR and MSP billing are assets
