Job description

We are seeking a permanent, full-time (36 hours weekly) Medical Office Assistant to join our busy blended practice. We are a full service family practice with a focus on maternity and newborn care, as well as women's health. Our office also has one obstetric/gynecology practice. We are a large team of 12 doctors including one OBGYN, with 5 current staff. We are located in SW Calgary and belong to the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (PCN). Our goal is to provided patient centred care with a high level of service in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and check them in to our EMR
- Take phone calls, book appointments, complete required phone/fax tasks
- Review and arrange incoming referrals
- General administrative work (filing, faxing, copying etc)
- Provide excellent "customer service" for our patients and their families

Requirements:

- MOA certification
- Previous ACCURO EMR experience
- Previous experience in a primary care office setting (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic, conscientious, reliable, professional
- Must enjoy a fast paced environment, and have an ability to prioritize tasks
