Qualifications

EPICare Medical is a modern, fast-paced family practice and walk-in clinic serving the growing community of Waterdown. We are currently looking to hire a part-time Medical Office Administrator (MOA) to join our collaborative and patient-focused team.

What You’ll Do
  • Create a welcoming, professional environment for all patients
  • Check in/out patients, manage bookings, and answer inquiries by phone/email
  • Support physicians, physician assistants, and other providers with day-to-day clinical flow
  • Manage incoming/outgoing referrals and follow up with patients on specialist appointments
  • Verify OHIP/insurance details and coordinate with third-party payers as needed
  • Assist in ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining clinic cleanliness
  • Document visits and communications accurately within our Avaros EMR
  • Support clinic operations, including vaccine coordination (if certified)
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting
  • Experience with EMRs (Avaros/Oscar EMRs preferred), scheduling, and multi-line phones
  • Outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology and clinic workflows
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team
  • Certification to administer vaccines is a strong asset
