Medical Office Administrative Assistant – Urology Clinic

Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Starting wage : Minimum $21-24 / hour (salary commensurate with experience) + benefits

We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Office Administrative Assistant to join a busy, community-based Urology clinic in Cambridge, Ontario beginning immediately.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. As the primary administrative support for a surgeon, you will play a key role in coordinating patient care, managing clinic operations, and liaising with hospital and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures (in both clinic and hospital settings)
  • Manage electronic medical records (Accuro EMR essential) including scanning, faxing, and correspondence
  • Assist with minor in-office procedures such as uroflowmetry and bladder scans (training provided)
  • Liaise with hospitals, diagnostic clinics, and referring physician offices
  • Prepare medical forms, manage documentation, and maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Order and manage clinic inventory and office supplies
  • Participate in the clinic’s growth and development, with interest in future management responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Accuro EMR (mandatory)
  • Experience with medical scheduling and clinic workflows
  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Competency with computers and understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic healthcare environment
  • Willingness to learn and perform bladder scans and uroflowmetry (training provided)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Office Administration diploma, certification, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, physician office, physiotherapy clinic, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OHIP billing and private insurance documentation
  • Starting wage : Minimum $21 / hour (salary commensurate with experience)
  • Full-time : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (40 hours / week)
