Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Medical Office Administrator at Ottawa River Walk-In Clinic in Kitchener, ON. The Medical Office Administrator will be responsible for phone etiquette, medical office tasks, receptionist duties, administrative assistance, and office administration on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate information to patients.
- Maintain and update patient records using the Juno EMR system.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, billing, and managing correspondence.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Greet and check-in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Background in healthcare or medical administration is preferred.
- Experience with Juno EMR system is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of the English language.
- Professional and compassionate attitude toward patients and coworkers.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Administrative Assistance and Office Administration skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

Expected hours: 16-20 per week
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Wed-Sat
Education: Secondary School (required)
Experience: Medical Office Rectionist: 1 year (preferred)
