  • Familiarity with EMR systems (especially Accuro) is an asset; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and receive faxes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule patient consultations, follow-up appointments, imaging, tests, and operations as directed.
  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying and updating contact and demographic information.
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients for appointments.
  • Collect payments for uninsured services and ensure proper documentation.
  • Obtain outside medical records and test results as needed.
  • File, scan, and upload documents into the electronic medical record.
  • Sterilize and prepare medical equipment as required.
  • Label and process lab samples with appropriate requisitions.
  • Maintain office and medical supply inventory, including stocking and vendor coordination.
  • Pick up and sort mail daily.
  • Support general office upkeep, including cleanliness of the reception and exam rooms.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new staff to ensure consistency in office operations.
  • Coordinate internal schedules and facilitate communication among team members.

Medical Office Assistant – Full-Time

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of our medical practice by managing front desk duties, supporting patient care processes, and contributing to a clean, organized, and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and receive faxes in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule patient consultations, follow-up appointments, imaging, tests, and operations as directed
  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying and updating contact and demographic information
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients for appointments, including weighing prenatal patients
  • Collect payments for uninsured services and ensure proper documentation
  • Obtain outside medical records and test results as needed
  • File, scan, and upload documents into the electronic medical record (Accuro EMR – training provided)
  • Sterilize and prepare medical equipment as required
  • Label and process lab samples with appropriate requisitions
  • Maintain office and medical supply inventory, including stocking and vendor coordination
