How You Make a Difference

The Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care, working under the guidance of clinical leadership or a primary care physician. This position ensures high-quality healthcare services by performing a full spectrum of medical duties in alignment with state regulations, facility policies, and established procedures. With a focus on excellence and compassionate care, this role contributes to the well-being and recovery of individuals served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Examinations and Treatment Planning: Conducts admission and annual medical examinations, reevaluates ongoing cases, and coordinates treatment planning as necessary.
  • Medical Services and Procedures: Provides medical treatment, orders required studies, tests, and ancillary services, and performs minor surgical procedures within granted privileges.
  • Documentation: Accurately and promptly documents all services in the medical record using the facility-approved format.
  • Participation in Meetings: Attends healthcare employee meetings, continuous quality improvement meetings, infection control meetings, and other leadership-requested meetings.
  • Medication Management: Makes observations and submits non-formulary medication requests with appropriate documentation for clinical leader approval.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Master’s degree as Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited University.
  • Required: Clinical rotations in primary care area as a requirement of graduation.

Experience:

  • Required: Prior relevant medical practice experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Required: Current license in the state of practice.
  • Required: DEA registration.
