About The Job

East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH) is a 75-bed acute care hospital with a medium-sized Laboratory offering Core Lab, Microbiology, Histology, and Pathology. It serves as a regional referral site for selected testing. The laboratory team includes Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Assistants working across various disciplines. Typical duties include performing routine and/or complex tests using manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the LIS, validating and reporting test results, maintaining instruments, and preparing solutions and control agents.

This is a Permanent Full-Time (1.00 FTE) opportunity.
