Medical Laboratory Technologist – Pathology

Base pay range

CA$37.94/hr - CA$51.75/hr

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services you will be responsible for ensuring high quality patient focused care through accurate and timely laboratory analysis.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Must be currently licensed in accordance with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) to practice medical laboratory technology
  • Understands the principles and has the ability to perform embedding and microtomy techniques on Pathology specimens.
  • Minimum of 3 years Pathology experience preferred.
  • Grossing and Immunohistochemical experience an asset
  • Personal attributes - self-starter who has the ability to work well with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced medical setting. Highly developed organization skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills with technologists and other professionals in the workplace.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Criminal Record Check required
