Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) - Anatomical Pathology / Immunohistochemistry

UNIT SUMMARY
The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital. The Program is committed to change and innovation through education, service, and research, aiming to bring the highest quality science into healthcare for the benefit of the community and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of this science.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
• 3 years of histology experience and IHC experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• A practical examination may be part of the interview process

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform IHC stains and quality assurance of IHC
• Develop new antibodies under the direction of the Technical Specialist
• Troubleshoot IHC stains
• Maintain inventory control of IHC reagents
• Other duties as assigned
