About The Job

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) serves as a referral centre for the South Okanagan, with an emergency department that sees over 40,000 visits annually. We have 172 acute beds and 102 extended care beds, offering a full range of health services. MLTs work in a supportive, team-based environment performing duties within the Core and Transfusion Medicine Laboratory or Histopathology. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine and complex tests using manual procedures and automated instruments
  • Entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related systems
  • Validating and reporting test results
  • Maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and controls
  • Contributing to training, evaluation, and improvement programs

This is a Relief Part-Time (0.81 FTE) position.
