Job summary

Dynacare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join its Core Lab in London, Ontario. You will deliver high-quality clinical testing across chemistry, supporting physicians with timely, accurate results.

The role is permanent full-time, onsite, with a Mon-Fri day shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You should hold CMLTO registration and bring strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Carry a CMLTO Registration in good standing.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Independent and able to self-manage in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met.
• Perform routine testing in Chemistry including analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
• Maintain quality control standards and report non-conformities.
• Record, interpret and/or approve test results.
• Identify and report incidents and missing samples.

We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Core Lab team in London, Ontario. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

Status: Permanent Full-Time

How YOU will make a difference:

• Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
• Performing routine testing duties within Chemistry which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
• Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities

What YOU bring to the role:

• You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment
• You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment
• Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
• Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution
• Nice to have: working experience in the Chemistry field, knowledge and understanding of CQI, knowledge of IQMH/Accreditation Canada

Pay rate: $35.00-$38.75 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
