LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Victoria, BC (4464 Markham St).

Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency, and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and better health outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a Full-Time role with flexible shift work to support a healthy work/life balance.

Schedule : Full-time (37.5 hours/week), with variable days from Monday to Saturday, including days and evenings shifts.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  2. Performing, interpreting, and releasing results while ensuring patient confidentiality
  3. Identifying incidents and non-conformities, developing effective corrective actions, escalating as needed, and driving continuous improvement
  4. Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
  5. Participating in problem solving related to work organization and workflow

We are seeking a Registered Technologist with CSMLS certification who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, adhering to LifeLabs' standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Do you have:

  • College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up
  • The ability to maintain high standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality

Hiring Range : $32.99 to $40.70

The salary will be determined based on experience, education, market conditions, and internal equity.
