LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our Chemistry and Hematology team in Belleville, ON (51 Adam Street).

Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency, and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and better health outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a part-time role with flexible shift work, suitable for maintaining a healthy work/life balance, with up to 20 hours of scheduled shifts per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  2. Performing, interpreting, and releasing results while ensuring patient confidentiality
  3. Identifying incidents and non-conformities, developing effective corrective actions, escalating as needed, and driving continuous improvement
  4. Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
  5. Participating in problem-solving related to work organization and workflow

LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories, offering opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment. You will have 24-hour medical support from our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and opportunities to teach college and university student placements.

We seek individuals who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Do you have:

  • College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • CMLTO registration
  • Excellent communication skills to relate effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up
  • The ability to maintain the highest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality

This is an in-person role.

Hiring Range: $32.93 - $44.36

The final salary will be determined based on experience, education, market conditions, and internal equity.
