Well Health Diagnostic Centers is looking for a skilled and certified Medical Laboratory Technician - Cardiology, who will be responsible for performing all cardiac testing techniques including Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to testing whilemaintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holterscanning, Holter monitoring and ambulatory BP monitoring as per complianceCompany’s P&P manual guidelines.
  • Responsible for inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring the IV treatments to watch for complications as required.
  • Performs Nuclear stress testing on treadmill as well as using pharmacological interventions including Persantine (Dipyridamole), dobutamine, adenosine, etc. as well as administering aminophylline as required under clinical supervision and delegated workflow.
  • Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.
  • Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation andbest practices.
  • Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
  • Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Prepares reports as required.

  • Qualifications, Experience & Requirements :

  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Certification fromCanadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
