Job summary

INDIGO, a healthcare technology company, seeks a non-clinical, hybrid role based in Toronto. You will speak with patients to collect medical histories and help ensure medical records are accurate and complete using templates and training.

You will work with physicians and the operations team to improve processes and quality while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant workflows. Our company is headquartered in San Francisco, with a Toronto office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls with patients to collect injury and medical histories.

• Ensure patient histories are thorough, consistent, and easy for physicians to understand.
• Review work for accuracy before submission.
• Follow defined workflows and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Partner with the operations team to continuously improve processes and quality.

About the role

This is a non clinical, hybrid healthcare role that is well suited for individuals who want meaningful work and real exposure to healthcare operations.

You will speak directly with patients, collect and organize medical histories, and help ensure medical records are accurate and complete. The work is structured, repeatable, and supported by templates and training.

Our company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. This role does not require travel. We follow a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in our Toronto office.

The expected salary for this role is $55,000 - $60,000 CAD.

• Review existing medical records for completeness, clarity, and internal consistency

• Organize and standardize medical information to meet quality and documentation standards

• Ensure patient histories are thorough, consistent, and easy for physicians to understand

• Review work for accuracy before submission

• Follow defined workflows and work expectations, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality

• Partner with the operations team to continuously improve processes and quality

• Fluency in Spanish, French, or a second language
