Indigo is seeking a non-clinical, hybrid healthcare operations associate to work with patients, collect medical histories, and ensure records are accurate. The role offers a structured environment with templates and training, and does not require travel.

This is a non clinical, hybrid healthcare role that is well suited for individuals who want meaningful work and real exposure to healthcare operations.
You will speak directly with patients, collect and organize medical histories, and help ensure medical records are accurate and complete. The work is structured, repeatable, and supported by templates and training.
Our company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. This role does not require travel. We follow a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in our Toronto office.
Conduct outbound phone calls with patients to collect detailed injury and medical histories
Listen actively and document information with a high level of accuracy using structured templates and internal systems
Review existing medical records for completeness, clarity, and internal consistency
Organize and standardize medical information to meet quality and documentation standards
Ensure patient histories are thorough, consistent, and easy for physicians to understand
Review work for accuracy before submission
Follow defined workflows and work expectations, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
Partner with the operations team to continuously improve processes and quality
Enjoy focused, detail-oriented work and take pride in precision
Are comfortable engaging in thoughtful, sometimes extended conversations with patients
Can remain calm, empathetic, and professional during sensitive or challenging discussions
Are dependable and able to manage your time independently
Thrive in structured environments and follow processes consistently
Are interested in gaining exposure to healthcare, especially if you are pre-med, studying public health, nursing, or exploring a career in healthcare
Previous experience in medical scribing or administrative healthcare roles
Bachelor's Degree in related fields
Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or operations
Comfort learning and working with new software and tools
Fluency in Spanish, French, or a second language
