Work Location Arrangement: Partial On-site – the position requires a combination of regular on-site and remote work. Reasons and schedules can vary, but worker attends on-site regularly (for example, each week).

Salary: $52.30 - $59.77 per hour

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of IT, the Medical Informatics Specialist is responsible for the implementation, support, and enhancement of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related health information technologies across the organization. The role aims to promote high-quality, cost-effective public health and client services, ensuring user satisfaction.

The Specialist will work closely with Managers, Special Projects (EMR), IT, PHAST, vendor implementation teams, clinical teams, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing effective systems, outlining processes and best practices, identifying current and future system gaps, and ensuring that medical informatics systems are secure, functional, and tailored to operational, clinical, and public health needs.

The role involves executing solutions, developing quality assurance and improvement initiatives, supporting users through report and dashboard development, configuring digital forms and assessments, and maintaining high system usability. Additionally, the Specialist contributes to infrastructure deployment, technical and data quality assurance, and cybersecurity risk mitigation in a public health environment.
