Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician for part-time, permanent status. The role is based in Peterborough, ON and supports sterile processing across departments, including decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical supplies.

The ideal candidate will hold MDARO/MDR certification, have recertification within 2 years, and a Grade 12 or equivalent, with 1 year MDR experience preferred.

Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.**Type of Shifts:** Days, Evenings, Weekends, Statutory Holidays**WHAT YOU’LL DO:**Responsible for reprocessing, sterilization and/or distribution of medical/surgical supplies, both sterile and non-sterile, to all departments. Staff are required to learn and work through routines including Decontamination, Set-up, O.R. Steris V PRO, Case Carts, Respiratory, Sterilization/Collection/Distribution, Extra Duties, Days, Evenings & Midnight Shifts. Responsible for stocking, picking, cleaning and maintaining all equipment and supplies, and assisting with portering of patients to assist in the smooth functioning of the Operating Room, PACU and MDR.**WHAT YOU’LL BRING:*** Grade 12 or equivalent* MDARO (Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario) or Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate required.* Recertification within the last 2 years, unless currently working in a Medical Device Reprocessing department as a MDR Technician.* 1 year recent experience in the Medical Device Reprocessing Department preferred.* Knowledge of decontamination, disinfection and sterile technique procedures, medical/surgical supplies and equipment would be an asset**WHO YOU ARE:*** Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a team member.* Demonstrated ability to use good judgement when performing duties.* Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy.* Demonstrated professional attitude in a previous work setting.* Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique.* Good knowledge of supply procurement.* Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.* Good time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks.* Demonstrated ability to work well independently and use good judgement, and as a team member.* Demonstrated ability to read/understand and practice hospital/departmental safety responsibilities and precautions (eg.
