The Brant Community Healthcare System is a two site Community Hospital located in Brantford and Paris Ontario.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of MDR you will be responsible for decontamination assembly sterilization and or high level disinfection of reusable medical devices. In addition the storage and distribution of medical devices and supplies in hospital departments in compliance with policies and procedures of the MDR department.

Secondary School diploma

Successfully completed Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO) Techniques course or an equivalent course valid within the last 5 years

Minimum of 1 year full time equivalent MDR experience (Within last 2 years)

Excellent communication interpersonal critical thinking and time management skills

Ability to read and write English proficiently

Ability to work with cleaning agents and disinfectant and wear full personal protective equipment while working within the decontamination area.

Team player able to work with minimal supervision

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Excellent attendance record; reliable

Motivated and demonstrated positive attitude

Able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
