Our growing team is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant / Medical Office Administrator for our Etobicoke clinic (1723 Kipling Avenue, Suite 2B).

Responsibilities
Medical Assistant:
  • Prepare patients for evaluations, document medical history, measure vital signs, and record information in the patient’s chart.
  • Review medication lists for accuracy and record social and medical history in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Coordinate patient flow to optimize schedules.
  • Ensure investigations are available and liaise electronically with medical facilities.
  • Facilitate access to the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
  • Prepare examination rooms with supplies.
  • Download data from diabetes devices.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings.
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
Medical Office Administrator:
  • Perform check-in and check-out duties.
  • Manage phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
  • Maintain provider schedules, including confirmations and appointments.
  • Review and update patient records.
  • Coordinate patient visits across services.
  • Manage investigations and liaise electronically with facilities.
  • Schedule referrals and diagnostic appointments.
  • Upload faxes and scans promptly.
  • Address patient concerns and inquiries.
  • Handle mail and shipments.
  • Maintain and order supplies.
  • Respond to physician tasks and inquiries.
  • Process patient accounts receivables and payables.
  • Complete third-party forms and legal documents.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings.
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Personal Support Worker, Medical Laboratory or Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Nurse.
  • Experience in a medical office environment.
  • Proficient in medication review.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills.
