Job description

Work Schedule:

Part-time, 90% FTE day shift. Monday - Friday between 6:45am - 4:30pm, with weekend rotation required between 7:00am - 1:00pm. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

Pay:

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Relevant work experience will be considered when determining the starting pay. External hires are eligible for a $2,700 sign-on bonus.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to:

• Support our reproductive providers in male and female infertility, reproductive treatments, and specialized medical and surgical services.
• Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, document complaints, medications, allergies, and assist during exams and procedures.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

UW Health provides continuing education for Medical Assistants, including AAMA-approved CEUs, Elsevier Skill Packages, and biannual weekend webinars.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus one of the following: completion of an accredited medical assistant program, licensure as an LPN, completion of UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Program, CCMA certification as a UWH employee, acceptance into UWH MA Apprenticeship, or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.

Work Experience

• One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year required, or licensure as an LPN upon hire. If applying without formal education or licensure, current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required upon hire. CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.
