Position Summary:
  1. Serve as an internal and external scientific resource, supporting Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) & other Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in understanding complex scientific/clinical concepts and product-related data to enhance awareness and understanding of our products and new indications.

  2. Partner with internal cross-functional teams in the Cardio-Metabolic therapeutic area to ensure strategies and tactics are relevant, appropriate, efficient, and compliant.

  3. Develop strong relationships with Canadian KOLs, HCPs, researchers, and professional organizations in their therapeutic field.

  4. Conduct national KOL mapping and gather medical insights on market trends, clinical practices, and patient flow.

  5. Evaluate research proposals, support development and evaluation of investigator-initiated studies, and supervise their execution.

  6. Provide scientific and strategic support for post-marketing studies (phase IV, registries, etc.).

  7. Support product and disease training for internal stakeholders.

  8. Conduct scientific presentations and educational sessions related to our products and diseases.

  9. Collaborate on national initiatives such as educational programs, round tables, and conferences.

  10. Plan and ensure compliance for national KOL meetings, obtaining necessary approvals and documentation.

  11. Develop and execute medical and KOL engagement plans aligned with our strategies.

  12. Manage the therapeutic area budget, including planning and review of tactical plans.

  13. Provide scientific and tactical input into medical and marketing strategies.

  14. Support clinical research programs and develop publication plans for post-marketing studies.

  15. Review clinical evidence for potential acquisitions or licensing opportunities.

  16. Represent the company at national and international meetings and forums.

  17. Engage with Canadian KOLs and be part of the Medical Leadership Team.

  18. Assist in organizing and planning the annual Medical Affairs Meeting.

Qualifications:
  1. Based at Laval Head Office.

  2. Educational background: MD, PhD, PharmD.

  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, with experience in Weight Management (Obesity) and Cardiology being assets.

  4. Competencies include bilingualism, leadership, scientific expertise, strategic thinking, networking, business acumen, adaptability, teamwork, and compliance understanding.
