Qualifications

About Score Group
Score Group is a specialist in precision manufacturing, valve supply, automation, and management systems, providing complex engineering solutions to customers in markets such as defence, nuclear, aerospace, utilities, and energy.

We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to support activities at our Edmonton, Alberta office, reporting to the HR Manager, Americas. The role involves ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations in Edmonton and Houston, Texas, and providing guidance on HR issues, employment legislation, and policies aligned with business objectives and SCORE values.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing HR advice and support to management and staff.
  2. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal standards.
  3. Maintaining up-to-date HR documentation in line with legislation.
  4. Supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  5. Facilitating performance and pay review processes.
  6. Conducting workplace investigations and preparing reports.
  7. Managing benefits administration and HR data analysis.
  8. Coordinating logistics for onboarding and temporary workers.
  9. Staying informed on HR and employment law in Canada and the U.S.

Qualifications include:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  2. Approximately 5+ years of HR experience, preferably as an HR Advisor or Generalist supporting U.S. and Canadian operations.
  3. HR certification such as SHRM-CP, CHRP, or IPMA-CP is an asset.
  4. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance in Canada and the U.S.
  5. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to manage multiple HR projects and utilize HR analytics.
