To enhance our engagement with the growing Nigerian community in Calgary, we are looking for a medical administrative assistant with community outreach experience who can communicate in English and Nigerian languages.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the flow of information
Interview patients to obtain case histories
Schedule and confirm appointments
Complete insurance and other claim forms
Maintain filing system
Order supplies and maintain inventory
Determine and establish office procedures and routines
Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
Perform data entry
Provide customer service
Experience
5 years or more experience in public administration and sociology, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and office management software is essential.
Health promotion and community campaign on mental health
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in the clinic settings.
