As a Media Science Lead, you will lead, mentor, and coach a pod of 1-2 Digital Media Specialists, empowering them to successfully execute digital media campaigns and exceed client KPIs and internal KPIs across various platforms. This role is the works at the intersection of data, product and sales in providing strategic oversight and support for over product & campaign optimization & performance. You'll drive process improvement and foster robust cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Creative, Content Operations, Analytics, and Product teams. Ultimately, your subject matter expertise will generate actionable insights, fueling future growth and operational excellence.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

Campaign Management & Execution

  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure campaigns meet their goals and KPIs.
  • Oversee setup, audience targeting, budgets, and performance optimization.
  • Lead insight and recommendation initiatives, creating clear narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Coach and empower a team of media specialists, helping them grow and excel.
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

Media Planning

  • Partner with Sales to understand client goals and translate them into smart, effective media strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales on campaign timing, pricing, and margin strategies.
  • Define clear KPIs and proactively manage expectations to ensure outstanding results.

Team & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and build scalable tools, documentation, and automation.
  • Work closely with Product, Operations, and Engineering to enhance tooling and infrastructure.
  • Foster continuous learning and champion best practices across the team.

Strategic Business Consultancy & Product Performance & Optimization

  • Drive revenue through owning forecasting, supply/demand planning, pipeline tracking, and revenue optimization.
  • Represent Media Science in cross-functional forums, delivering strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and revenue integrity through solid documentation.
  • Lead key initiatives (e.g., vendor management, account strategy, measurement frameworks).
  • Advise on campaign improvements, evaluate new product capabilities, and refine execution.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients and business decisions.
  • Share testing results to strengthen team knowledge and best practices.

Coaching

  • Mentor Media Specialists and Senior Specialists, supporting their growth and development.
  • Build coaching frameworks, lead training programs, and drive performance conversations.
  • Support hiring, capacity planning, and performance management.
What you'll bring to the team:
  • 5+ years of digital media campaign management or media planning, preferably with exposure to retail / CPG
  • Strong experience in campaign management, strategy, and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of the digital media landscape, including platforms, technologies, and trends.
  • Proficient in performance data analysis and deriving actionable insights.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Ability to think conceptually and solve problems with a strategic mindset.
