POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Media Operations Specialist manages all aspects of print and digital ad campaigns, including booking, coordination, monitoring, and optimization. This role requires expertise in ad-serving technologies, digital advertising trends, and excellent customer service skills. It is a 12-month contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expertise in ad-serving software and Order Management Systems like Google & Adbook
  • Knowledge of Globe and Mail sales products and digital inventory
  • Pulling inventory availabilities for digital campaigns
  • Booking digital campaigns in OMS
  • Data entry for print ads into SAP and classified ads into Naviga
  • Following up for creative materials
  • Collaborating with traffic and campaign managers for accurate trafficking
  • QA of line items and campaign launch checks
  • Basic trafficking in GAM
  • Supporting troubleshooting of creative issues
  • Generating campaign reports and managing discrepancies
  • Monitoring campaign performance and optimization
  • Client interaction regarding campaign performance and modifications
  • Reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordination with internal/external teams for campaign execution
  • Providing excellent customer service and campaign support
  • Campaign modification and creative change processing
  • Project management related to client expectations and bookings
  • Additional functions like reporting, testing, QA, and project work
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years in customer service advertising environment
  • Experience with GAM, Adbook, or similar OMS
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent print order management systems
  • Knowledge of print ad formats and systems
  • Experience optimizing campaigns using various data sources
  • Understanding of online advertising ecosystem (Display, Video, Rich Media, Email)
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with industry performance technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and ad formats
  • Familiarity with third-party ad tags and tag sheets
