Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Machine Learning Developer in Montreal, Canada, to apply ML methods to innovative motion-focused projects within the Emerging Media and Entertainment Technology division.

The role requires a strong ML background, experience with Python, TensorFlow and PyTorch, and the ability to work across data-driven workflows and large-scale models as part of a globally-based team.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in AI/ML or related field.
• Proficiency in deep learning techniques including architectures, regularization, loss functions and optimization.
• Strong foundation in statistical methods for ML (Bayesian methods, HMMs, graphical models, dimension reduction, clustering, regression, etc.).
• Experience with multiple assisted coding environments and high-velocity, scalable code generation practices.
• Experience with computational time-series data analytics and prediction regimes.
• Proficiency with scalable compute, bandwidth and storage infrastructure and orchestration layers.
• Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other standard DL frameworks.
• Strong understanding of fundamental CS algorithms and their scaling behaviors.
• Practical experience applying ML algorithms to business problems.

Responsibilities

• Review state-of-the-art ML publications and assess feasibility for motion-focused applications.
• Collaborate with project leads to report capabilities and progress.
• Implement cutting-edge ML results and improve existing models; stay current with AI techniques.
• Develop large-scale models for motion prediction across modalities.
• Create end-to-end workflows using data-driven techniques and motion editing tech.
• Work with a global team on research projects; build pipelines and prototypes.
• Handle data processing and preparation at scale; train models and tune hyperparameters.
• Analyze model errors and design mitigation strategies; maintain high engineering standards.
