Job description

The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts responsible for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as outlined in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual.

The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The RN effectively manages patient care by assuming full responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN reports directly to a nurse manager or supervisor and promotes the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BSN required
2. Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
3. BLS certification required
4. Experience in medical/surgical/telemetry preferred
5. Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E standards
6. Demonstrates basic analytic thinking necessary for patient care
7. Shows observational skills and the ability to prioritize
8. Functions well under stress with strong interpersonal and communication skills
9. Applies hospital standards effectively, demonstrating teamwork, communication, respect, and time management skills
