Solventum is hiring a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician to support production at our Morden, MB facility. You will troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment in a medical device environment, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology qualification (or equivalent) and 3+ years industrial experience. Relocation near Morden is encouraged, with starting pay of CAD 73,000 per year.

We partner with experts across the industry, guided by empathy and insight, to advance health for everyone.The impact you’ll make in this roleAs a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting production operations, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient plant environment.This role works a rotating shift and includes starting pay of $73,000/year.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Supporting production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment.Troubleshooting and repairing electro/mechanical equipment failures.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.Working proactively to ensure production performance targets are met.Focusing on Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in OEE.Assisting in developing plans to correct equipment deficiencies and determining long-term solutions for equipment issues to improve reliability.Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance procedures to ensure proper operation.Ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices are followed.Supporting Engineering projects and leading actions assigned to the maintenance group.Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.Required Qualifications:Certificate/Diploma in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology field OR a High School Diploma/GED or higher AND three (3) or more years of mechanical or electrical experience in an industrial environment.Must reside near Morden, MB or have confirmed plans to relocate prior to hire“Nice to Have” Qualifications:Flexibility to work different shift patterns as the business requires.Eligible for registration with CTTAM as a Technician or Technologist.Experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, pumps, web handling systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drive systems and related components, valves, brakes, etc.Demonstrated proficiency working with equipment such as AC/DC motors, servo systems, PLCs, robotics, vision systems, sensors, etc.Demonstrated high level of technical ability.Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills.Strong organization and time management skills.Proficient in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Work Location: Onsite - 400 Route 100, Morden, MB R6M1Z9Travel: Not required for this positionRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedLegal & ComplianceMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.Manufacturing Operations:This position sits within Solventum’s Manufacturing Operations, specifically at one of our global production facilities, where our teams play a hands-on role in bringing life-changing healthcare solutions to life.
