Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and production release of Interior Rear View Mirror systems. You will coordinate mechanical and electrical packaging, BOM, and documentation, while driving cost and weight improvements and supporting prototype builds.

You will work with engineering teams, plants, and Tier 1 suppliers to resolve technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure robust product performance across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of design, release engineering, and CAD packaging experience.
• Experience with rear-view mirrors or automotive mechatronic components such as latches, window regulators, interior mirrors, or seats.
• Experience releasing both mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience with mirror suppliers such as SMR, Magna Mirrors, Ficosa, or SL Corp is an asset.
• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.

• Coordinate component design, CAD packaging, engineering changes, BOM, and technical documentation.
• Develop and execute DVP&R activities and support prototype and production builds.
• Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing plants, and Tier 1 suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Support root cause analysis for production and field/warranty concerns.
• Drive improvements related to cost, weight, quality, and product performance.
