Are you a mechanical technologist with strong HVAC design experience, looking to lead drafting and coordination efforts across complex building projects?

This is a key opportunity to join an established mechanical engineering team delivering HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for large-scale residential and mixed-use developments. You'll take ownership of detailed mechanical design packages, balancing accuracy with efficiency, while supporting engineers and collaborating closely with drafters, EITs, and other specialists.

Our client is a growing multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence in the Ontario high-rise residential market. With a full pipeline of projects — many of them high-density, high-rise builds — they’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Technologist who can step into a senior drafting role, contribute to technical coordination, and keep projects moving forward.

You’ll be working in a team that values collaboration, precision, and clarity in documentation with an opportunity to grow into a technical lead or project coordination position over time.

The Role :

• 80,000 - $95,000 CAD + Bonus + Health & Dental + RRSP + PTO + Benefits
• Prepare and coordinate HVAC-focused mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Perform load calculations and ensure designs comply with building codes and mechanical standards
• Work closely with engineers, drafters, and BIM collaborators to support multi-disciplinary project teams

The Person :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• Experience designing mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing), ideally on large or high-rise residential projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and familiar with BIM workflows
