What you will be doing:
Assemble or modify test models and experimental setups from specific guidelines or under the supervision of senior technical personnel.
Perform various tasks including installation, repair, testing and maintenance of devices, subsystems and systems.
Participate in testing under the supervision of senior technical staff.
Record the results of tests or experiments.
Read and interpret technical drawings.
Assist higher-level staff with other tasks.
Perform periodic maintenance of equipment.
Participate in the preparation of time and cost estimates.
Research and recommend parts or components for special testing and test assemblies.
Participate in the programming and start-up of automated equipment sequences using software made available to them
Carry out work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our rules on health and safety at work.
Perform other related tasks.
Mechanical technician: Perform tasks related to MGSE support
Machinist: Carry out the machining of parts on numerical or conventional control according to the estimated times. Read and understand a CNC machining program. Carry out the start-up of machine tools. Carry out the validation of machined parts using the metrology equipment made available to him.
Alignment: Under supervision. Perform alignment or adjustment using high-precision equipment of subassemblies or flight or tooling assemblies according to theoretical values or guidelines submitted by Engineering. Perform testing, troubleshooting and alignment of devices, subsystems and systems. May be required to calibrate and/or characterize various tooling and/or flight components.
What you must have:
DEC or equivalent in mechanical engineering, aeronautics or a related field depending on the assignment.
A combination of other relevant experience/education may be considered.
2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Comfortable in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
Possesses the relevant knowledge and experience as assigned.
Additional qualifications as assigned:
Machinist: Good knowledge of CAD/CAM software. Good knowledge of CNC G code language. Basic knowledge of metrology
Alignment: Good knowledge of CAD software. Good knowledge of Space Analyzer. Good knowledge of metrology.
Salary/Rate Range: $67,000 – $83,000
