TC Energy in Edson, Alberta is seeking a Skilled Mechanical Technician to join the Mountainview Area Operations Team. The role focuses on high‑pressure natural gas pipelines and gas systems, including turbines, compressors, and related equipment.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and plan outages, with a Journeyman trades credential or two years of technical training. Strong analytical and self‑direction are essential for this onsite position.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant natural gas or energy industry experience (Energy, Natural Gas).
• Completion of a Journeyman trades program, or two years of vocational/technical training.

Mansioni

• Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain turbine driven engines, gas compressors, standby generators, oil coolers, air compressors, large-bank cooler fans and gear boxes.
• Assist in engine/gas compressor overhaul.
• Operate compressor engines and support equipment.
• Plan and prepare for outages and maintenance activities.
• Read, interpret, and update drawings and schematics.
• Initiate corrective action to improve maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and compliance.
