Job description

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to add his / her expertise to the team. The technician ensures that aircraft are maintained in a seaworthy condition and ready to fly at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that work performed on any aircraft or component thereof complies with manufacturer's recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that quarantined parts are properly labeled and routed to quarantine
  • Ensure that all spare parts are inspected and certified prior to installation
  • Sign all forms or work files applicable to his / her work, in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist in the training and instruction of personnel
  • Ensure that such training is always valid
  • All other related duties

Skills and qualifications

  • Recognized diploma in aircraft maintenance techniques, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or any other accredited course.
  • 1 year experience working on aircraft(s)
  • Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative
  • Specialized technical skills
  • Keen mind and attention to detail
  • Team player and proactive
  • Physical fitness
  • May be required to work outdoors
  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is an important asset

Required experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
