Enbridge is seeking a remarkable Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in either Glenavon, SK (Odessa Station) or Regina, SK. As a Mechanical Technician, you will ensure the flawless operation and maintenance of our mechanical equipment, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our operations. Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing and commissioning mechanical equipment while following safe operating practices at all times is the focus of our Mechanical Technicians. #joinourteam

What you will do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all rotating and associated equipment, including valves, pumps, motors, meters, relief systems, and other mechanical equipment.

  • Coordinate activities with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, other Mechanical Technicians, Electricians Technicians, Control Center Operators, Regional Support, contractors, and Pipeline Maintenance as required to plan, schedule, and complete all work safely, efficiently and effectively.

  • Ensure that maintenance work is performed safely in compliance with regulations and company operations and maintenance procedure requirements.

  • Perform site utility work such as snow clearing, yard work, maintaining roads and maintain facilities for cleanliness, safety and security.

  • On call as required for emergency response and maintenance.

  • Complete and stay current on all required safety and technical training and use maintenance software to document maintenance work.

  • Assist Projects, Construction, Electrical, Operation and Pipeline Technicians as required.

  • Comply with all company policies.

Who you are:

  • Mechanical Technician Diploma/Certificate from a recognized technical program, and/or Journeyperson Certificate in a Mechanical Field with a minimum 5 plus years’ experience in an industrial field.

  • Hard working and self-motivated. Able to work independently, self-prioritize, complete maintenance tasks on your own and solve equipment issues.

  • Excellent teammate. Able to work in a team environment on larger repairs and outages. Possess good interpersonal, communication and interactive people skills.

  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.

  • Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a driver’s abstract check prior to hire.

  • Analytical skills for problem solving.

  • Possesses essential computer skills to work with existing and developing programs such as Maximo, MS Office, and a variety of equipment analysis interfaces and dataloggers.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • 80% Field with 20% office.

  • Working in hazardous or restricted locations such as pump rooms, confined spaces, tank lots, and classified areas within yard and ROW.

  • Travel and on-call responsibilities for assigned areas and stations.

  • This position requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, physically demanding work with the requirements to stand, sit, bend, walk. crouch and lift on a repetitive basis.
