Job summary

CCI Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical/Stress Engineer (Intermediate) to join its Pipeline & Facilities team in Edmonton.

The role involves engineering analysis, stress modeling, design, and project execution for oil and gas infrastructure, including pipelines, facilities piping, metering, and transfer systems. The successful candidate will perform stress and flexibility analyses, develop DBMs and calculations, review supports, and work with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver safe,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA and in good standing.
  • Ability to obtain registration in other Canadian jurisdictions considered an asset.
  • 4+ years of progressive Mechanical/Stress engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoPIPE for pipe stress analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, model, and review piping and pipeline stress analyses using AutoPIPE to verify CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8 compliance.
  • Support design, analysis, and modification of oil and gas transmission and distribution pipelines and facilities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients throughout project execution.
  • Develop stress analysis reports, DBMs, calculations, and design recommendations.
  • Evaluate piping supports and loads; perform surface loading and CEPA/API-1102 assessments.
