Overview :

Our K3 Facility is seeking a Maintenance Shift Lead (Mechanical, Pipefitters, Millwrights, Insulators, and Scaffolders) to join our team. This role reports to the Maintenance Foreman within the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.

The Kaybob South (K3) Gas Plant provides services such as gas compression, liquid separation and stabilization, gas sweetening, sulfur formation, shallow cut, and lean oil processes for natural gas liquids production, mainly under long-term contracts on a fee-for-service basis.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

1. Support Pembina’s safety culture and lead by example;
2. Provide leadership, mentorship, feedback, and coaching to maintenance staff and contractors;
3. Encourage collaboration to achieve shared goals;
4. Empower and develop team members;
5. Ensure follow-up activities are performed during abnormal operating conditions;
6. Participate in team performance, recruitment, and compensation planning;
7. Contribute to an environment that values equity, inclusion, and diversity;
8. Make recommendations to improve facility efficiency and optimization;
9. Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives for electrical and instrumentation departments;
10. Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to ensure proper workflow in PMM;
11. The shift schedule is four 10-hour days per week;

Qualifications :

1. Journeyperson Certification with over 5 years of experience in Pipefitting, Mechanics, or Millwright work;
2. Flexible, adaptable, with excellent time management skills;
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills for positive stakeholder engagement;
4. Proven leadership, teamwork, and project management abilities;
5. Proficiency in MS Office and related business applications;
6. Experience with SAP Maintenance Management is highly desirable;
7. Solid understanding of equipment failure modes;
8. Ability to implement maintenance strategies for high reliability and cost-effective operations;
9. Knowledge of gas plant operations and maintenance within Pembina’s practices and standards;
10. Willingness to take a hands-on leadership role in the field when necessary;
11. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
12. Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

This position is “Safety Sensitive” and requires Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing, including testing for marijuana metabolites, and a Driver’s Abstract. Candidates must reside within 100 km of Kaybob South (K3) Gas plant. Legally eligible to work in the country, with background checks including a criminal record check.
