Job summary

Fluor Canada is seeking a CAD Designer to support the Design Area Lead by performing 2D CAD drawings and 3D layout for moderate scope projects. You will review vendor documentation for compliance and contribute to deliverables with accuracy.

The role requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent, strong communication, time management, and solid CAD software skills. A practical field background is a plus, and Fluor offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Accredited two-year degree or equivalent in a technical field or six years of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors and visitors.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with time-conscious work habits.
  • Proficient with basic software: word processing, email, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2D CAD drawings of moderate complexity.
  • Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation for compliance.
  • Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations.
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards and department procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
