Mechanical Service Engineer

Location: Halifax
Salary: IRO £40K PA

Are you a machine whisperer with a knack for all things mechanical? Our thriving machine tool service business is on the hunt for an experienced Machine Tool Service Engineer! If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of CNC and manual machine tools, keep reading!

What You'll Do:

• Maintenance Maestro: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Fault Finder Extraordinaire: Diagnose and repair machines on-site.
• Installation Guru: Set up and commission machinery.
• Parts Pro: Order parts as needed.
• Customer Whisperer: Answer queries and maintain client satisfaction.

Core Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
Friday: 07:30 - 12:00

(Flexibility required - sometimes you'll need to be available during evenings.)

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Field service or machine tool experience.
• Mechanical Wizardry: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
• Tech Savvy: Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC controls.
• Problem Solver: Ability to thrive under pressure and tackle challenges.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication with customers.
• Willingness to Travel: Must be prepared to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
