Job summary

Gestal in Mirabel, Canada seeks an experienced aircraft maintenance inspector to perform inspections of cells, engines and equipment to ensure compliance with plans and manuals. The role includes approving aircraft within authority and managing regulatory files.

Ideal candidates have a DEC/AEC in aircraft maintenance or an M2 license with 10 years of experience, plus 5+ years in pre-flight inspection or mechanic roles.

Qualifications

• DEC or AEC in aircraft maintenance OR M2 license with 10 years of experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a pre-flight mechanical inspector in aeronautics
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic (460 internal) in last 5 years
• Demonstrates autonomy, initiative and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights up to 30 feet

Job description

Your challenges:

• Perform inspections of aircraft cells, engines, and functional equipment to ensure compliance with standards and specifications indicated on plans and/or manuals;
• Approve any aircraft or element within one's authority;
• Ensure the management of all files, registrations, and regulations applicable to the aircraft;
• Keep aircraft logbooks up to date for quality audits;
• All other related duties depending on experience and qualifications.

Profile:

• A DEC or AEC in aircraft maintenance OR;
• An M2 license and 10 years of experience OR;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a pre-flight mechanical inspector in the aeronautics field OR;
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic (460 internal) in the last 5 years OR;
• You demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and work well in a multidisciplinary team;
• You will be required to work in a confined space;
• You will be required to work at heights up to 30 feet on a regular basis;
• Ability to adopt and maintain various physical positions according to work needs
