Job Title : Mechanical Project Manager

Location : Kelowna, BC

Job Type : Full-time | Hybrid (Work-from-Home + In-Office)

Salary Range : $95,000 – $125,000

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our client’s growing team in Kelowna. This is a hybrid role that allows for work-from-home flexibility while maintaining strong in-office collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to some of the most impactful and sustainable building projects in Canada — from hospitals and government facilities to post-secondary institutions and transit hubs.

The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical engineering professional with a passion for project delivery, team leadership, and shaping communities through smart and sustainable design. Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead mechanical design project delivery from concept to construction
  2. Collaborate with principals and design teams to develop engineering concepts and reports
  3. Prepare calculations, select mechanical systems / equipment, and oversee design coordination
  4. Ensure project alignment with codes, standards, schedules, and budgets
  5. Review site conditions and existing installations, interpreting impacts on the project
  6. Act as contract administrator when required, coordinating shop drawings and site reviews
  7. Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors; represent the firm in meetings and presentations
  8. Monitor hours, fee allocation, and project scope; prepare contract amendments as needed
  9. Contribute to quality assurance and enforce standards in documentation and design processes
  10. Support accounts receivable and internal coordination for successful project execution
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical building services design and project coordination
  • Registered P.Eng. in BC or eligible for registration within one year
  • C.E.T. or with equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and Dynamo
  • Strong working knowledge of BC Building Code, Plumbing Code, and Energy Step Code
  • Experience with high-rise construction in BC considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards
  • LEED certification and sustainable design experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
