Job summary

TSG Staffing Services is recruiting for a PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) based in Edmonton to work in an operating plant environment. This role requires coordinating with in-house or external contractors from scope through start-up and ensuring project success against defined objectives.

Candidates should have 7+ years of experience, be registered P.Eng or eligible for registration with APEGA, and possess SAP/Excel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered P.Eng or eligible for registration with APEGA.
• 7+ years' experience as a Project Development Engineer.
• Experience at operating facility or heavy industrial site is an asset.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Excel is preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Following project work management process from scope to start-up with contractors.
• Ensuring successful completion of projects according to objectives.
• Preparing budgets, schedules and resource plans for multi-discipline resources.
• Managing projects to meet economical and timely objectives with standards and quality control.
• Applying knowledge and tools to project activities to meet stakeholder needs.
• Making independent decisions on work methods within project scope.
• Liaison between operations, maintenance, technical groups and contractors.
