About the Job

Our client is a leader in the development of smart home robotics, specializing in low-power systems and consumer electronics. We seek a highly skilled Mechanical Product Engineer to bring expertise in mechanical assembly and technical integration.

The Role

As a Mechanical Product Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating mechanical components, assemblies, and systems in smart home robotics. Your focus will be on designing, refining, and ensuring products meet strict tolerances, assembly requirements, and cost standards, utilizing CAD, mechanical assembly, and product development skills.

Robotic Specific Knowledge
  • Familiarity with robotic actuation systems including motors, gears, and sensors.
  • Ability to understand and integrate robotic joints and mechanisms.
  • Experience in selecting and designing standard components like bearings, keys, and pins based on joint loading conditions.
Technical Proficiency
  • Proven CAD design skills with supporting photos or videos of builds.
  • Relevant certifications, training, and safety awareness.
  • Experience in resolving technical issues through case studies or projects.
Hands-on Experience
  • Experience with tools, equipment, and CAD software.
  • Demonstrated error-free assembly, repair, or maintenance.
  • Ability to explain and document technical concepts clearly.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize mechanical systems.
  • Develop and refine CAD models of mechanical components.
