Job description

Job Title: Mechanical, Millwright, Machinist Planner

Location: Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss Locations, Alberta

Duration: 12+ month contract

Schedule: 4/10

Responsibilities
  1. Creates job packages from work order scope, including labor, materials, and services.
  2. Requires broad technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.
  3. Acts as an informal resource for less experienced team members.
  4. Uses feedback to optimize work plans.
  5. Reviews work orders for technical completeness.
  6. Performs field checks as needed.
  7. Prepares job packages and inputs plans into SAP.
  8. Identifies tasks, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
  9. Supports safety policies and procedures, including hazard assessments.
  10. Participates in procedure creation, review, and management of change.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/equivalent plus Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal, or higher degree; or 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: prior maintenance field planning experience.
  • Ability to work safely in a plant environment, including at heights and with PPE.
