Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industrial experience as a Journeyman Millwright.
  • Broad knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine service and repairs on mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot rotating equipment like pumps and compressors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the EMS to ensure all regulatory compliance and pollution prevention.
  2. Perform routine service and repairs on all mechanical equipment at this facility.
  3. Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers, vibrators, etc., and connected drive components.
  4. Complete required paperwork to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, suggest improvements, and follow all site safety policies (WSP, LOTO, PPE, etc.).
  5. Always perform work in the safest manner possible, identifying hazards before starting work.
  6. Perform non-code welding.
  7. Attend work as scheduled, work shift work if required, and be able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.
  8. Drive and maintain forklifts and other related plant equipment.
  9. Make recommendations for service and equipment upgrades.
  10. Operate all types of measuring and testing equipment required.
  11. Perform minor periodic maintenance and repairs on plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  12. Cut, thread, and install piping.
  13. Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  14. Ensure all plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained.
  15. Perform preventive maintenance rounds and services.
  16. Fabricate special parts as required.
  17. Perform emergency service on various pieces of equipment.
Requirements
  • Have a Journeyman Millwright Ticket with at least 4 years of industrial experience.
  • Broad knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Understand the theory and mechanics of various pieces of equipment at the facility.
  • Experience with NDT (UT, Vibration, Thermography) is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with rotary kiln and SS mesh belt conveying systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to use a personal computer, understand shop math, travel on commercial airlines, attend training sessions, communicate via phone, and read/write manuals, drawings, and catalogs.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Properly wear all required safety equipment including hard hats, hearing and eye protection, safety shoes, etc.
  • Qualified for confined space, respirator, and other special safety qualifications as required.
