Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Baggage Handling System (433A) - Toronto Airport

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical maintenance under the supervision of the Residential Services Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Shift Supervisor at Toronto Pearson Airport. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Recover and repair mechanical issues on the material handling system
  • Reset errors caused by luggage, equipment, or operators
  • Assist engineers with fault finding and maintenance activities
  • Perform system maintenance and clean assets and surrounding areas
  • Support BEUMER Group products and systems in response to customer needs
  • Monitor system performance
  • Follow quality and reporting protocols, including CMMS system
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements
  • Provide feedback and intelligence to management
  • Report spare parts usage in CMMS system
  • Follow escalation procedures when necessary
Requirements:
  • Licensed Industrial Millwright 443A certificate with at least 3 years of experience working with baggage handling or automated systems in industrial facilities
  • RAIC Security Clearance or ability to obtain it
  • Strategic insight and understanding
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and products
  • Objective analysis and development skills
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in computers and maintenance software, MS Office suite
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
