The successful candidate will lead a team of millwrights, ensuring equipment reliability and optimizing maintenance strategies. This role requires a technical background in Mechanical or Mechatronics and hands-on leadership experience in a unionized heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Supervisory position.
• Prior experience in a Heavy Industrial, Unionized Environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with plant hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Millwrights to optimize equipment reliability and maintainability.
• Develop and supervise Preventive Maintenance plans.

Job description

This global leader in tube manufacturing, who is serving the worlds energy sector, is searching to add the talents of a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to the 24 / 7 Mill operation to further support the significant growth recently experienced within the organization.

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for : leading teams of Millwrights in optimizing the reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining the maintenance strategy for each system; developing and supervising the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plans; completing systematic failure, problem, and performance analysis on equipment; defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities; and providing technical support to emergency crews and staff areas.

Our ideal candidate will have a Mechanical or Mechatronics background and 5+ years of experience leading Trades personnel in a 24 / 7 Unionized, heavy industrial environment. Experience with plant hydraulic systems and capital projects as well as the ability to pivot on the fly to resolve urgent issues will be essential. We are looking for candidates with strong technical and leadership experiences who are able to enthusiastically coach and develop their team.

Qualifications :

• Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Millwright Trade Certification
• 5+ Years in a Supervisory position
• Prior experience in a Heavy Industrial, Unionized Environment
• Strong technical, hands-on knowledge and experience,
• Ability to identify basic mechanical drawings
