Join Our Elite Team as a Mechanical Lead in Custom Yacht Building
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Lead to join our team in building custom yachts. The ideal candidate will have marine experience to facilitate a smoother learning curve. In this role, you will be responsible for planning resources, materials, tools, and equipment for yourself and your team, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop a 14-day plan of resources, materials, tools, and equipment for yourself and your team.
  2. Collaborate with production and project managers to establish estimates, schedules, material orders, and production details.
  3. Direct and work alongside your team, relaying information from the Mechanical Leader and Systems Leader.
  4. Recommend equipment, tools, processes, and supplies to enhance project quality and meet targets.
  5. Ensure overall safety of the team while enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  6. Oversee and ensure quality control is maintained.
  7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.
  8. Experience working as a Millwright or Mechanic.
  9. 12 months of leadership experience.
  10. Ability to lead a team.
  11. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  12. Ability to bend pipe.
  13. Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  1. Marine experience is ideal.
  2. Experience with hydraulic system installation and pressure testing.
  3. Experience with installation of main engine gearboxes and alignment of propulsion shafts and propellers.
  4. Knowledge of fuel systems and exhaust systems.

Work primarily indoors in a covered environment, with occasional outdoor tasks. The environment can be dusty. The schedule is typically Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility available upon proving oneself. Employees report to their lead, who operates under the main manager.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
